The goal of this project was to reimagine a space for the homeless in Newark, NJ.

We began as a collective, researching the environment and the needs of the people we would be serving. We then split into smaller committees focusing on an individual aspect of this project. My group consisting of 3 members and was tasked with research into possible affirmation to be used for the mural as well as how the these affirmations would live in the space. We largely focused on concepts such as visual systems, typography, symbolism, and forms were focused and decide. Additionally, we decided source our material from Newark writers.
